Instructions

First step: Measure the length of the box and trim the paper to fit.

Tape the edges of the back side of the box and attach the patterned paper.

Second step: Turn the box on its side and trace the outline of the box top side. Glue the bottom half of the paper to the box.

Depending on your skill level you can either trace the edge with a pencil then cut it with the exacto or you can just use the exacto.

Third Step:
Repeat above step for the front.

Third Step:
Fold the paper over the remaining side and repeat above step. Your box should look like the second image above when you are finished with this step. Be sure to keep the small piece of paper you cut off to go around the top.

Fourth Step:
Glue or tape the small piece of paper to the front and remaining blank side. Use scraps of paper to cover the top of the lid and the bottom of the box. This is what your box should look like so far.

Fifth Step:Using the serrated scissors, cut 2 pieces of white card stock approximately 1/2" long. If you used a different box then be sure to measure the width of the front and use that number. Ink the serrated edge with chalk. I used dark blue but you can use any color you want.

Sixth Step:Glue or tape the pieces you just cut to the top and bottom of the front opening.

Seventh Step:Glue or tape your choice of hair to the top of the box. Depending on what you use, glue may be a better choice. With this white boa I had to use glue as the tape just wouldn't grab and hold.

Eigth Step:Cut 2 circles from white card stock using the 1" circle punch. Cut 2 circles from a coordinating color using the 3/4" circle punch. Cut 2 swirls from black card stock using the 3/4" swirl punch. Ink the edges of the circles using chalk in a coordinating color. I used dark brown.

Ninth Step:Send the black swirls and the 3/4" colored circles through the Xyron machine. Attach the black swirl to the colored circle and then attach those to the white circle. Do for both sets. This is what they should look like when you are finished. Set aside

Tenth Step:Stamp "Happy Easter" or any other phrase you would like onto a solid color card stock of your choice. Ink the edges. Mat with white or any other coordinating card stock. Ink or distress the edges. Mat one more time with another coordinating color, ink the edges and attach to the belly of the monster using foam squares.

Eleventh Step:Attach the eyes that you made earlier using foam squares to the top of the box front. You can also use other things for the eyes such as these brad buddies in the shape of sunglasses. Be imaginative!
